About the Role

This will be a remote-based role but MUST be able to drive activity and show results, while reporting to and working closely with the Vice-President of Business Development & Partnerships. We are looking to fill this position across 3 regions: Prairies, Ontario, and British Columbia.

Additional opportunities for growth within the company and stock options will be considered.

Qualifications & Skills

We are looking for someone who:

  • First and foremost, can drive engagement and sales for a technology product that is new to market within the professional services space – You will be required to reach out to professional firms, business associations, individual contacts, and other key partners, to engage them in the model, drive meetings, and create interest. You should be professional, persuasive and passionate about how we are changing the professional services industry.

  • Possesses excellent communication skills – You will document the results of your activities and provide follow-up materials and communication to prospects.

  • Understands the sales journey – You understand that the sales process involves multiple touch points, and you will be highly organized to follow-up with each lead in a respectable and thorough way.

  • Can travel – You will be travelling 1-2x month to small/mid-market cities in Canada to meet with regional firms and associations, present and convey the value, and close partnerships in a relatively short period of time. You will be responsible for arranging these meetings, attending them, and following up on them.

  • Can close a sale – To achieve your sales targets, you need to know how to close and represent the brand to the highest standards, maintaining a high level of professional integrity combined with passion for how digital technology is changing the way professionals build their business and reach untapped clients.

  • Wants to share their ideas & think outside the box – You work not only on tasks that are asked of you, but also those that you are inspired to suggest and create to further the sales initiatives and overall brand development. We want leaders, not followers.

Experience Requirements

  • 5-10+ years sales experience is a must (B2B or within professional space).

  • Experience in one of our professional fields (accounting, law, financial advisory, consulting) and has contacts therein, or a good understanding of how these industries operate and what drives value for them.

  • Business/Commerce or Communications background along with any accreditations or designations of a professional nature are an asset.

  • Technology experience or knowledge would be of value.

Compensation Details

Compensation will be a mix of base salary + bonus (based on activity and sales targets), along with possible stock options for a candidate who shows themselves to be someone we can’t live/work without.

About the Role

This will be a home-based role to start; candidate can be based anywhere in Canada (ideally, Winnipeg – our head office, Calgary, Vancouver or Toronto) but must be able to drive activity and show results, while reporting to the Vice-President of Business Development & Partnerships. 

There is a strong opportunity for this role to move to an outside sales position in a relatively short period of time, given the right candidate.  Additional opportunities for growth within the company and stock options will be considered.

Qualifications & Skills

We are looking for someone who:

  • First and foremost, can book meetings – You will be required to make 30-50 phone calls a week to professional firms, business associations, and other key partners, to secure meetings and visibility for the outside wholesalers (3) and executive team, along with email and LinkedIn outreach. You should be professional, persuasive and passionate about how we are changing the professional services industry.

  • Possesses excellent communication skills – You will document the results of the calls and provide follow-up materials through email.

  • Understands the sales journey – You understand that the sales process involves multiple touch points, and you will be highly organized to follow-up with each lead in a respectable and thorough way.

  • Can close a sale – We are looking to shape this candidate into one who can present the idea and innovation in person to professional services firms. To do this, you need to know how to close and represent the brand to the highest standards. Part of your role will also include bringing on individual/independent professionals who show interest in joining the platform, apart from a firm-wide initiative.

  • Ideally, has experience in one of our professional fields (accounting, law, financial advisory, consulting) and has contacts therein.

  • Understands social media and how to leverage it to drive introductions and leads – Part of your role will be working with our Marketing and Digital Strategy team to convert social media interest from professionals and drive it into conversations and onboarding.

  • Wants to share their ideas & think outside the box - You work not only on tasks that are asked of you, but also those that you are inspired to suggest and create to further the sales initiatives and overall brand development. We want leaders, not followers.

  • Business Administration or Journalism background would be considered an asset, along with any accreditations or designations of a professional nature.

  • Technology experience or knowledge would be of value.

  • 3-5+ years sales experience is ideal, though consideration will be given to highly driven new graduates who have excelled in their internships, academics and school/community involvement.

Compensation Details
